(Overview) Click here to view Press release Introduction: The patent holders have created an effective window washing system that permanently fits commercial and residential windows, skylights, and solar panels. This completely water powered system travels elliptically up and down the exterior of a window, applying brush, squeegee and existing water pressure. The brush and water loosen any dirt or grime on the way up, followed by direct squeegee pressure being applied to the glass as the brush bar reaches the peak of the track, resulting in an automatically rinsed, scrubbed and dry window all in the same cycle. The KlearvieW System utilizes existing water pressure (instead of electricity) as its sole power source for both safety and cleaning proficiency. The same water that drives the brush bar up the track is wetting the window in cooperation with the brushes scrub, followed by downward squeegee pressure for a clean and dry window every time. High rise operators and high end residential home owners are spending billions annually on building and home window maintenance, only for the glass to accumulate more dirt within the following day. Put simply, the KlearvieW System will put these expenditures directly back in the customer’s pocket as well as eliminating the majority of the fatalities and injuries associated with manually cleaning view glass. The patent holders are seeking investors, or an acquirer to fund initial manufacturing, sales and marketing efforts.
The Company: The present KlearvieW Systems is a start-up company with three key individuals working full and part time. KlearvieW Systems has yet to be formally incorporated. Klearview Systems intellectual property is exclusively owned by Tom Kirven and C.A. White, JR. KlearvieW has a single office in Vancouver, WA. Our key competitive advantage is that the KlearvieW System’s cleaning mechanism does not require electricity to operate, which significantly saves energy and greatly simplifies installation since electrical wiring to the mechanism is not needed. While an electrically actuated control valve is desirably used to control the flow of pressurized water to the motor, such a valve can be installed at any convenient location inside of the building. Another advantage is that water discharged from the motor is rinsing the window surface, which further simplifies installation and construction of the device since a separate mechanism for wetting the window is not required. Another advantage of the apparatus is that it does not utilize bulky or unsightly devices mounted to the sides of the window, as in conventional devices. The tracks can be mounted directly to the casing of the window and do not have any moving parts, which further simplifies installation.
Products and Services: KlearvieW Systems will be offering a steadily increasing product line for the following applications:
The Market: The KlearvieW System provides a permanent, unique solution for:
Ideal International Markets: The city of Dubai is one of the wealthiest and most modern locations anywhere; boasting the highest skyline in the Middle East, including the two tallest hotels in the world (primarily made of glass). Also, a project called “The World Islands” which is an archipelago of artificial islands shaped like the continents of the Earth is currently being constructed off the coast of Dubai. The world will consist of 250 to 300 smaller private artificial islands divided into four categories- private homes, estate homes, dream resorts, and community islands that will all experience the same salt spray issues for their windows. This and other current/future projects prove Dubai to be an ideal market venue for the KlearvieW System.
There’s currently an Austrian based company called iku-windows (Google iku windows) that have an electrically powered, integral window cleaning system that is similar to the KlearvieW System, but has no scrubber and is powered by electricity, not water. This product is currently on the market and selling in Austria, Germany, and the Middle East (currently on buildings). Industry trends show that automatic window washing is most popular in these regions. We believe that introducing an Integrated, water powered, building cleaning ecosystem in these territories would create a much greater interest with architects and building owners since electrically powered window washing apparatuses consume much more energy and greatly complicate installation.
Mission: To completely eliminate the inherent dangers and reoccurring costs associated with manually washing commercial and residential windows, skylights, and solar panels while providing the owner/customer the ability to enjoy automatically cleaned view glass at their convenience.
Keys to Success: We forecast the KlearvieW System’s success depending on the following approaches to manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of the system to the previously mentioned market segments including the eventual integration of the automatic building cleaning ecosystem into new flat façade construction.
Manufacturing: The KlearvieW System has gone through the earliest stage of development via mechanical engineering of each part and piece of the fixed picture system in the form of CAD. Each component has been professionally quoted by its respective manufacturer/distributor. The KlearvieW system will be tooled and assembled using highly durable plastics (i.e. PVC) ensuring resistance to diverse climatic conditions and the elements. This will allow maintenance to be very infrequent.
Distributing: Companies in the glass carwash enclosure industry have requested distributorships for wholesale selling purposes. These companies have offered to provide letters of intent to become distributors once the manufacturing agreement is in effect. We will endeavor to rekindle these and future distributorship opportunities. Optimally, the Klearview System will be strategically introduced into the US market place through several key distributorships such as Lowes, Home-Depot, Sears and Wal-Mart. Additionally, most of the large home improvement companies previously listed have the ability to install the KlearvieW System as well as selling to the general public (DIY customers). Based upon on-going conversations with several window manufacturers, we anticipate one of the larger, vinyl residential window manufacturers formulating a partnership for integration of the Klearview System into the frame of a fixed picture, vinyl window.
Marketing: KlearvieW will immediately begin marketing the system to all previously mentioned market segments whether the conditions are collaborative with a company or independent. We’ve conceived personally introducing ourselves and the system to home and resort owners on the Oregon coast (locally). Based on individual conversations with beach front resort operators and residents, we are more than confident that we can personally sell and install the KlearvieW System to the previously mentioned prospects that are spending unnecessary time and money every day to maintain these luxurious view that are inhibited constantly by salt spray inundation. This coupled with testimonials from satisfied customers will indisputably prove the market for the fixed picture retrofit system and its worldwide potential in addition to validating our commercial integration conceptions.
1.3.3.1. Integrated Building Cleaning Ecosystem: We forecast the integration of the KlearvieW system in a flat façade capturing the interest of architecture firms and curtain wall window manufacturers after the fixed picture retrofit and new fixed picture integration applications are working on homes and proven cost effective and customer recommended. Whether our efforts are collaborative with a company or independent, we will diligently market the system to the firms that are consistently designing new projects that when complete, will require frequent manual glass maintenance, or buildings that when complete, should be cleaned regularly and are not due to the reoccurring costs and liabilities that the building operators would incur from daily or weekly washing. Industry trends prove that green and sustainable architecture is a crucial competitive advantage that all chief organizations in the industry continuously pursue. The KlearvieW System will demonstrate sustainability by using existing water to concurrently serve three functions: Water powers the system, wets the glass, and irrigates the surrounding landscape. These conceptions are described on page 12.
1.3.3.2. Service/Installation: During final development, (whether independently or collaboratively) KlearvieW will publish a comprehensive, user friendly installation guide and owner’s manual. This will be used as a training tool for technicians and sales representatives as well as the DIY customer. Our working prototype has run over 3000 cycles, maintenance free. If that same system we’re on a customer’s window and used once per week, the equivalent would be fifty seven years of maintenance free service. Based on this, Klearview will publish a one year guaranteed warranty assuring repair and/or part replacement for the consumer. An extended 5 year warranty may be purchased as an option to the customer (pricing for this option to be confirmed at a later date).
Company Summary: The present Klearview Systems is a start-up company with three key individuals. We are a high powered team of creative individuals with extensive backgrounds in mechanics as well as business. The company creates an exclusive, patent-protected automatic window washing product that is unlike anything else in the world.
Ownership: KlearvieW Systems intellectual property is exclusively owned by Tom Kirven and C.A. White, JR.
